Sergio Ramos, Real Madrid captain, is optimistic about their run in La Liga.
“We’ve got 10 more finals and we’re going to give it everything we have,” he told La Liga. “After a tough time for everyone, it was a bit strange for everyone. As a captain, I want to send everyone high spirits. It was a weird situation, not being able to get out of the house, but from negative things, we still try to put positive things out.”
About their match against Eibar, he said: “We showed good intensity for the first 45 minutes, and got the goals to go ahead. For the second section, a little less serious, but it would be something we will benefit from and build upon. We have been successful in general. We have stuff to change so we are glad to receive the three points. We must now plan in the best possible way for the next game.”
He even sent Barcelona a title warning after Real Madrid made a winning return to Sunday’s action at La Liga.
“I’m pleased with the three points, so I’m ready to start competing again,” he reiterated.
“It is happiness for the whole country to get back to football. Everything is returning to its normal location, being back on the field is essential for us,” he mentioned regarding the return from hiatus for football due to the coronavirus pandemic.
“I think we’ve done great, we’ve trained hard in the last couple of weeks to come back to maintain the form that we might have missed in the past couple of months. We’re back to competing in the best possible way, there’s a ton of stuff we should do better but mentally we’ve been good.”
