In the match of the 28th round of the German football championship of Bundesliga, RB Leipzig and Berlin’s Hertha played 2-2.
The match was marked by an incredible mistake by the visiting goalkeeper Rune Jarstein. Patrik Schick shot from the edge of the penalty area, Jarstein defended, but then somehow bounced the ball into the net with his right hand. The Norwegian goalkeeper thus scored a goal for himself in the 68th minute to give the home team a 2-1 lead.
The guests took the lead in the 9th minute with a goal by Marko Grujić, and Lukas Klostermann equalized in the 24th minute.
Hertha scored their first goal in the 63rd minute, but played after Marcel Halstenberg was sent off.
RB Leipzig turned the score less after Jarstein’s ‘gift’. However, Hertha managed to equalize in the 82nd minute from a penalty kick by Krzysztof Piatek.
The offending foul was committed by Ademola Lookman by knocking down Matheus Cunhu with a careless start. Dani Olmo played for the home team until the 58th minute.
For RB Leipzig, it was already the fourth draw in the last five matches.
Meanwhile, Hertha in their third game after the resumption of the championship are still undefeated. They recorded two victories in the first two matches.
Bayern now leads the table with 64 points, while RB Leipzig is in third place with 55 points. It is Borussia Dortmund that is second with 57 points.
