Erling Haaland’s agent Mino Raiola says the Norwegian star is choosing his move to Borussia Dortmund over a switch to Juventus because the Serie A champions “would have put him in the Under-23 squad”.
Haaland has scored a total of 13 goals in 12 matches this season for Dortmund, as he sits just behind Jadon Sancho on the goalscoring charts of the club this season despite entering only in January.
If Juventus had made a better offer, Haaland’s rise to Bundesliga dominance may never have come true, Raiola says.
“Why Haaland didn’t move to Juventus? They’d have included him in the Under-23 team.” Raiola told La Repubblica, an Italian outlet.
