With the giants of the Bundesliga continuing to provide a stage where young talent can thrive, Christian Pulisic says Jadon Sancho did “a fantastic job” at Borussia Dortmund.
Christian, who decided in the summer of 2019 to take on a fresh opportunity at Chelsea, is delighted to see his old club continuing to accept talent.
“I think they’re offering new players chances so it’s a fantastic place to go and improve. Sancho had a shot at a really high point, much as I was, so they’re showing you straight away that they support you and they’re going to offer all the players fair opportunity,” he told Sky Sports. “It’s one of the major reasons that when I was really young, I was always attracted there.”
Indeed, Pulisic has himself benefited from this ideology, with the U.S. international reaching his own major break at Dortmund.
Sancho got 90 appearances for Dortmund, with an impressive 31 goals track recorded over those outings. Pulisic praised him:
“He’s done an amazing job since he came in and has evidently shown what skills he has.”
