Selling Phillipe Coutinho for a substantial fee to Argentine coach Mauricio Pochettino might solve a lot of problems for Barceona.
The coach is the key contender to lead the new project at Newcastle, and it is understood that he would like to create a team around Coutinho, as he had before when he was in Espanyol.
Meanwhile, Barcelona is not willing to let Coutinho go for less than EUR 80 million. With this in mind, this means that this summer Mauricio Pochettino could have a huge say in the fortunes of the Blaugrana.
With Barcelona related to players such as Lautaro Martinez and Neymar, there is a need for the Catalan club to transfer players to collect funds. If Coutinho’s return to England comes to fruition, this would give Barcelona the cash injection that it needs to be able to get after its summer targets.
Coutinho would be happy to return to the league where he had enjoyed his greatest successes, Pochettino would have a player he knows and loves, and Barcelona would have enjoyed a major payday. It could be a win-win situation, according to MARCA.
