According to his brother Pere Guardiola, Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola also hopes to manage a National team in the future.
“Pep has a dream of coaching a national team someday, but we’ll see how it goes; what’s the moment if he receives an offer. But it is not something for the present,” Pere Guardiola told Globo Esporte.
Asked whether Guardiola will ever take care of a team of the Campeonato Brasileiro or the Selecao, his brother said: “With Brazilian coaches, Brazil has achieved lot. I believe you have successful managers, you don’t have to hire only foreigners.”
Guardiola has himself never denied his desire to direct a foreign team at a big competition, and has in the past been strongly linked to Argentina and Brazil.
So, both brothers now hint toward a foreign connection in the future.
