Manchester United is reportedly on the verge of signing a deal with Atletico Madrid for Saul Niguez.
The Red Devils are already preparing for the next season and are believed to have named Saul as the potential replacement for Paul Pogba.
Pogba has been linked with a transfer for a long time now. In that case, Real Madrid and Juventus are the only sides that can realistically sign Pogba this summer.
Moreover, Niguez’s move too, depends on Pogba securing a transfer away from Old Trafford. This is because United wants to collect funds internally from player sales.
According to Evening Standard news from Spain claim that the United basically arranged a deal for the 25-year-old, with the Premier League side reportedly handing over £70 m for signature.
That’s down from the £131 m Atletico were initially holding out to change the landscape of the next transfer window prior to the coronavirus pandemic.
