Bayern Munich is believed to have approached Manchester City with a bid of 35 m for Leroy Sane.
Sane scored 39 times and recorded 45 assists in 134 appearances for the English champions after joining from Schalke 04 ahead of the 2015-16 season.
The forward had been inclined to move to the Allianz Arena in the run-up to the 2019-20 campaign, but the proposed transfer fell by the time the attacker took a serious knee injury. The German, as it stands, will be out of work at Etihad Stadium next season.
Bayern continues to be linked to the 24-year-old, however, and according to Bild, the Bundesliga champions made an bid of £35 m in advance of this summer’s transfer window.
The report argues that the German outfit has already settled on personal terms with Sane and is now aiming to deliver slightly less than the £88 m amount that was quoted last summer.
