Mainz fought back to claim a crucial point in the Bundesliga relegation battle, with two goals down leading to a 2-2 draw at Cologne.
A superb solo goal by Pierre Kunde earned Mainz a deserved share of the spoils in the 72nd minute shortly after Taiwo Awoniyi had brought them back into the game on Sunday.
Early penalty from Mark Uth and a header from Florian Kainz second half had given them advantage.
Mainz remains at the relegation play-off place four points clear of Fortuna Dusseldorf while Cologne is midtable.
Cologne had won eight of their last 11 matches before the season was suspended in March because of the coronavirus.
Later, on Sunday, leaders Bayern Munich visited Union Berlin. At the arrival of team buses at the Stadion a der Alten Foersterei, around two dozen fans, who did not appear to be members of ultra-groups, appeared to be awaiting.
Police, who have a significant presence in the Koepenick area of Berlin, have asked them to move on for the match. Berlin police dispersed a small gathering of people waiting ahead of the match.
