Barcelona is reportedly still tracking Brazilian midfielder Bruno Guimaraes despite him joining Lyon very recently in January.
Despite rumored interest from Barcelona and Atletico Madrid, the 22-year-old joined Lyon in a €20 m deal from Athletico Paranaense.
Having agreed on a four-and-a-half year deal at Groupama Stadium less than six months ago, his value has already risen from €20 million to €32 million.
Globoesporte reports claim that Quique Setien is still keen on a move for Guimaraes, but it is unlikely that Lyon will be open to a sale.
This summer however, Barcelona is expected to operate on a reduced budget, with the club hoping to recover more than €200m+ in wage cuts for transfers.
This will affect the club’s ability to attract certain goals, including PSG’s Neymar star and Lautaro Martinez’s Inter Milan forward.
