Real Madrid forward Luka Jovic was reportedly identified by AC Milan as a potential replacement for Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
22-year-old Jovic has just contributed two goals and one assist from 19 outings this season in Spain’s top flight and the Champions League. The Serbian forward, who may be allowed to find a new team after struggling to impress at the Bernabeu, is interested in the Italian giants according to Calciomercato.
Having recently left San Siro with club official Zvonimir Boban, it has been suggested Ibrahimovic will opt out of penning an extension to his contract. That would leave Milan in need of an alternative option at a time when they may have not earned European qualification.
If they could conclude a deal, Milan could reunite Jovic with former teammate Ante Rebic of Eintracht Frankfurt.
