According to Jesse Lingard, Michael Jordan’s fierce willingness to win in Netflix’s documentary series ‘The Last Dance’ was reminiscent of Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
“It was really inspiring to see Jordan’s work ethic making his teammates become the best and ultimately it paid off. It was an amazing story, actually,” the England international remarked. “Not a lot of people did have that impact. He had that raw winning mentality; he had previously played in big clubs, and had that winning mentality. He came to Man Utd, and said he wanted trophies to be won.”
“I think it’s very motivating and there are lots of different personas in the team like Dennis Rodman, Scottie Pippen, Michael Jordan but they all come together on a day to get the job done,” he went on to say.
When asked if he knew any characters similar to Jordan in football, Lingard told BeIN Sports: “I have to say Zlatan. You could sense that aura around him as soon as he came to Man Utd. He had that winning mentality and that drove us to win a lot of trophies.”
