Bayer Leverkusen winger Leon Bailey has reportedly been named by Manchester City as a possible replacement for Leroy Sane.
Sane is expected to leave for Bayern Munich during the next transfer window, with just over a year left on his deal.
Although there is confusion about next season’s participation of the club in Europe, City obviously intends to offer an alternative of big money to Germany international.
Leverkusen himself is also reportedly open to sale if they obtain a £40 m bid.
This season, the 22-year-old has contributed five goals and one assist in the Bundesliga, despite his opportunities being limited to just seven starts and nine substitute outings.
The Premier League outfit has thus been left impressed by the Jamaican winger’s success, and may want him on their squad this season, according to the Daily Mail.
