Lazio President Claudio Lotito has reportedly asked his players to accept the planned pay cuts for March and April, but the Aquile Stars are not persuaded.
Lotito plans to lower wages for the months of March and April and will call for a similar strategy for the months of May and June, until Series A resumes. He has written a letter directed toward that end, too.
According to Il Messaggero, the players did not respond well to the letter, but with Captain Senad Lulic currently in Switzerland, the meeting is yet only be a preliminary one.
The Roman newspaper claims that Biancocelesti’s patron has communicated a possible reduction in players’ salaries at the Olimpico, but their sources reveal that the players did not welcome the idea.
