Juventus confirms that all their COVID-19 tests have returned negative.
The club issued a statement this afternoon to update fans on the coronavirus situation within the squad:
“For several days now, the Juventus players have been carrying out individual training sessions in small groups, all whilst keeping their distance.
“In application of the indications by the FIGC’s Federal Medical Scientific Commission, yesterday, the whole team underwent diagnostic tests which came back with negative results; in the next few days training will resume in larger groups.”
According to Corriere dello Sport, Gonzalo Higuain and Adrien Rabiot, who were the last to return to Turin, are now expected to return to training.
Indeed, Higuain and Rabiot will be welcomed back to the training center tomorrow. They returned later than the others from abroad, so they had to go to quarantine.
Blaise Matuidi, who battled COVID-19 in March, and Sami Khedira have also returned- they took part in the training session today.
However, the guidelines have been modified recently, making them all-clear if they have two negative swab tests in 48 hours.
Milan applied the same technique to Zlatan Ibrahimovic when he returned from Sweden.
