After Goal’s revelation that the Turin side was interested in a swap deal involving midfielders Arthur and Miralem Pjanic, Juventus’ chief football officer Fabio Paratici has confirmed that the Serie A champions are in open dialogue with Barcelona.
Speaking on Sunday, Paratici confirmed that negotiations are still underway between Juve and Barca, but didn’t name specific players as the Bianconeri ready for a “unique” summer transfer window.
“We communicate with them, like with other top clubs.” the CFO told. “This is going to be a weird season. We need suggestions, something like swap contracts and other different things for the forthcoming summer transfer window.”
Despite the rumoured move, Arthur himself would prefer to remain in Catalunya. However, Barca is open to selling a great majority of their squad. The collected funds would go toward purchasing Inter forward Lautaro Martinez and PSG player Neymar back to the club.
