Jorge Molina is the newest footballer to be investigated by the Spanish police as part of the inquiry into Operation Oikos.
The investigation into the match-fixing scandal revolves around the end of the 2018/19 season. It has been a severe examination of all involved parties.
On the advice of the judge, the police are now looking into telephone calls between the parties involved. These include retired players Carlos Aranda and Paco Esteban, who name Molina in their conversation with WhatsApp.
MARCA was granted access to the initial conversation between Aranda and Esteban, which took place the night before the final day of the season.
As a consequence of Molina being named, the police have applied to investigate his phone in order to obtain more information.
