Chelsea youngster Callum Hudson-Odoi was arrested on suspicion of rape after reported incident at his apartment in west London, states.
These charges arrive just weeks after Hudson-Odoi battled the coronavirus, which he was diagnosed with on March 12.
In a tweet, the Metropolitan Police said both they and the London ambulance service were alerted to a complaint from a woman in the early hours on May 17.
The statement added: “While medical personnel were in attendance, a woman confirmed being raped. She was taken to hospital. A man was arrested on suspicion of rape. He was freed from jail and bailed for return in mid-June on a date. Investigation proceeds.”
