Borussia Dortmund’s championship hopes faced another hit in the Der Klassiker loss against Bayern Munich.
Part of the reason why Dortmund lost at their own Allianz Stadium is because Erling Haaland was pulled off with pain during the second half.
With 10 goals in only 12 league appearances after the Red Bull Salzburg move was made in January, the productivity of the youngster in front of the net was crucial to keep BVB’s crown challenge alive.
Nonetheless, head coach Lucien Favre revealed the Norway star had suffered a knee injury after the match.
However, he is optimistic that Haaland won’t miss much.
Favre said in a post-match news conference: “I don’t feel like he’s going to be away for a long time. He’s got a knee problem. We don’t know precisely what it is right now.”
