Daily Mirror reports claim that Arsenal want to resolve the future of top scorer Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, so as to avoid clouding their pre-season with transfer speculation.
According to Football Espana, the Gunners reportedly set a deadline of June 15 for Barcelona to make a formal bid for the Gabonese international.
However, with Mikel Arteta determined to keep his star man up ahead of the 2020-21 season at the Emirates Stadium, a fee of €50 m was quoted in Barcelona.
As he enters the final 12 months of his contract this summer, the Catalan side was heavily linked to a move for the Gunners skipper. But Barcelona is uncertain about such a high fee for a player who turns 31 in June and might look for an alternative deal to be offered.
Real Madrid is also monitoring the situation of the former Borussia Dortmund man in North London, but it is rumored that Los Blancos are unwilling to pay the asking price of Arsenal.
