Real Madrid is reportedly not seeking to conclude a permanent contract on the Paris Saint-Germain loan to goaltender Alphonse Areola during this summer’s transfer window.
The France International has only played in Ligue 1 on three occasions, however, and according to AS, Zinedine Zidane’s side has taken a decision on the future of the stopper.
The article says that Los Blancos has opted against a permanent move for Areola, which means that the Frenchman will return to PSG at the end of the season.
While Zidane’s team has reportedly agreed to hold Luka Jovic in place this summer given the Serbian difficulties after the arrival of Eintracht Frankfurt, the long-term future of Areola in Paris is in doubt. This is especially because Keylor Navas left Madrid last summer to become the current number one goalie of the French team.
The 27-year-old joined Madrid as a back-up to Thibaut Courtois last summer and made eight appearances for the Spanish giants during the 2019-20 campaign.
