“Everton FC is appalled at the incident of a first-team member ignoring government instructions and club regulations regarding a coronavirus crisis,” the English Premier League said after pictures of 20-year-old striker Moise Kean were captured in the English tabloid on Saturday hosted a relaxed house party for his friends.
Kean followed the bad example of Manchester City football player Kyle Andrew Walker who organized a private party with two prostitutes, which was also reported by the British media. Walker has repented and apologized for his betrayal of family, friends, club, fans and the public.
“The club expressed its great disappointment to the player and made it clear that such behaviour was unacceptable. Everton regularly expressed the importance of adhering to Government guidance, including rules and advice for behaviour inside and outside the home, through a series of official communications to all our staff and players,” the statement said.
But for the 20-year-old Italian striker who arrived in Everton from Juventus last summer, those instructions were clearly not clear enough or he didn’t think they were referring to him, and he didn’t even try to hide his transgression by posting a few videos via Snapchat.
