Sevilla’s managerUnai Emery shared the popular belief that Neymar should return to La Liga. He also shared that he would’ve liked it if Cristiano Ronaldo had not left Spain.
Emery originally won three Europa League championships with the Andalusians before transferring to Paris Saint-Germain in 2016, with the 48-year-old having earned seven trophies in the French capital during a two-season period.
Neymar’s attitude and commitment has always been criticised during his career. Having worked in Paris with Neymar, Emery advised him not to waste his talent in PSG. Emery has confirmed that the Brazilian has to move to Spain, where he enjoyed three seasons in Barcelona alongside Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez.
With Barca eager to send Neymar back to Camp Nou, Emery said to Eurosport: “Now I’m in Spain, I want the best players to be there. I want Messi to move on, Cristiano not to quit and Neymar to return. Seeing such stars in our league makes us stronger.”
The long-time Arsenal manager, who after a poor start to the 2019-20 season was sacked by the Gunners, is now back in his hometown, having previously achieved success with Sevilla.
