Chelsea has reportedly shown eagerness in fighting Paris Saint-Germain to secure AC Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma.
So far, according to Tuttosport, PSG may be the favourite for the 21-year-old goalkeeper due to the fact that Alphonse Areola was willing to deliver part-exchange French stoppers. Areola will return to Parc des Princes later in 2020 after having spent a loan period in Real Madrid.
That is not all, however. Despite Kepa Arrizabalaga having made a number of errors during the current campaign, the Blues have also been linked to possible replacements for the Spaniard.
Though Burnley’s Nick Pope is said to be a choice, Tuttosport argues that the Premier League outfit has an interest in Donnarumma. While being highly respected at San Siro, Italy has stayed on its contract for little over a year, leaving Milan with no choice but to consider cashing in on one of its key players.
Now, with Chelsea willing to step in the game, there is renewed doubt about where Donnarumma will end up.
