Barcelona and Bayern Munich are involved in signing this summer’s Ajax full-back Sergino Dest, according to Dest’s agent and lawyer Joes Blakborn.
“Barcelona’s interest is not yet concrete.” Blakborn told Voetbal International. “They did not formally communicate to me or Ajax. However, information has been given in the past. Sergino is one of the full-backs they observe in Europe.”
He went on, “Bayern Munich also wishes to take Sergino from Ajax, but both sides are still very far away at the moment. There’s nothing we can talk about right now.”
The 19-year-old spent a season at breakout with the Dutch giants graduating from the youth ranks of the team.
He made 35 appearances at all competitions for Erik Ten Hag’s senior side before last month’s Eredivisie season was curtailed due to the coronavirus crisis.
His club and country successes have captured the attention of competing teams. European heavyweights Barca and Bayern are seemingly at the front of the list, though Blakborn is eager to clarify that no formal offers have yet been made.
