In an interview for Goal, former Real Madrid striker Davor Suker named Karim Benzema as the best striker in the world.
Commenting on the situation at the Royal Club, with which he won the La Liga and the Champions League, Suker referred specifically to Karim Benzema.
“I love him very much as a ‘nine’. He has already enrolled in Real Madrid history. I love the way he plays and I have no doubt that he is one of the best players in the world,” Suker said.
“I can only say that I want Benzema all the best and a lot of goals. In the end, the striker is always evaluated by the number of goals scored. If you want to be in the top, you have to score and I want to give Benzema my heart in the future,” Suker went on.
The French striker has been at Real Madrid since 2009 and has amassed over 500 appearances for the club, and has gained more space since the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo. He has scored 19 goals in 36 appearances this season.
Other than Benzema, Suker spoke about the coronation crisis, the delayed Euro and Real Madrid.
