For the remainder of Coppa Italia this season, ties will go straight to penalties, with extra-time being removed, claims Football Italia.
Hence, the semi-finals’ second legs – Juventus-Milan and Napoli-Inter – and the Final will be settled in either normal time, or through a penalty shootout in case of a tie.
However, if the last-four ties end levelly, the rule of the away goals is still in force.
It was announced this afternoon that the rules had been modified by Lega Serie A, which will apply only to campaign 2019-20.
With this rule in place, the semi-finals close at 20:00 BST on Friday and Saturday, followed by next Wednesday’s Final.
