Alex Telles may be set to join the Paris Saint- Germain club, after Chelsea is said to have lost to PSG in a bid to secure Telles’ talents.
The heavily-vetted Brazilian left-back would have been a stellar addition to the Chelsea team, but now it appears that they have failed to sign him. GaúchaZH, a Brazilian outlet, claims that the champions of the Ligue 1 are close to agreeing on a deal for Telles, and that Brazil’s international is likely to cost between €20 m (£17.5 m) and €25 m (£21.8 m).
27-year-old Alex Telles has recently been of great interest to several high-profile clubs, what with his current deal in Portugal soon to come to an end in the summer of 2021. Chelsea, too, has been linked to Brazil due to an alleged attempt to sign him on. Although, this interest may also be credited to Juventus. Either way, it appears as if they may have lost out on the opportunity to sign the versatile defender.
The former Galatasaray man scored eight goals and five assists in the 2019-20 Liga. Chelsea may have missed out on a gem.
