Former Italian international Antonio Cassano reported that Inter would profit from selling Lautaro Martinez to Barcelona.
Why does the former Inter attacker advocate this? Ironically, it is because of the increased valuation of the 22-year-old Argentinian, which would in turn give Nerazzurri the opportunity to invest wisely.
“Lautaro is very good, but I would sell him,” Cassano told Perluigi Pardo on Instagram. “You brought him for €20m and sell him for over €100m.
“Or even get €70m to €80m and Arthur. Then I would go for Cavani (PSG forward Edinson Cavani), the who is on an expiring contract and would be perfect for Conte (coach Antonio Conte).”
He detoured to talk about other transfer potentials, “In addition, there will also be money from the sale of Icardi (Mauro Icardi) and I would go to Arsenal to bring in Lacazette (Alexandre Lacazette).”
Through it all, however, he was adamant on selling Martinez: “Lautaro will become even better, but I would say to him: ‘it was a pleasure’.”
