Boca Juniors is negotiating with an agent of Lukas Podolski according to the information at TodoFichajes.
In recent years, the Argentine club has fixed its sights on the European market. They surprised us all last summer with Daniele De Rossi ‘s signing and now it looks like another footballer from the old continent could arrive.
After two years in Japanese football, Podolski made it to Turkish Antalyaspor last summer and has not finished adapting.
The player ends his contract with his club in June 2021 but they know better than to curb his freedom of moving to the Xeneize club. As such, the German international has likely offered himself directly to Boca Juniors.
A possible move was confirmed by his teammate Gustavo Blanco Leschuk: “I’ve just talked to him today. We were looking for a bottle of water and I asked him if it was true about Boca and he admitted yes, that despite having one more year of contract, the interest is there. I told him Buenos Aires is beautiful because I have lived there for five years and Boca is impressive.”
