William Carvalho of Real Betis is a summer target for Inter Milan and Leicester City, as well as Monaco and other major clubs.
According to yesterday’s Daily Mail report, Inter are midway through a reconstruction under Antonio Conte, and as part of that may be interested in midfield reinforcements.
Leicester, on the other hand, are well stocked in the central midfield, and their pursuit of Carvalho may indicate that they are willing to sell the Wilfred Ndidi.
The transfer market is likely to have only limited activity this summer, but that evidently hasn’t stopped the links being made across the market.
Since moving there from Sporting in Portugal, the defensive midfielder has impressed in Seville and after years of Premier League links it looks as if the move could finally come to pass.
Betis will be reluctant to let go of one of their regular starters, but may also accept that it’s a necessary step for the next stage as they too look in a post-coronavirus landscape to regenerate.
