Turkish club Besiktas confirmed that their club president and eight members of the team and staff have tested positive for COVID-19.
Besiktas announced, by way of two statements, that President Ahmet Nur Cebi had contracted the disease, and then that there were eight positive results from further general tests across the entire team and club staff.
They were quarantined in compliance with the medical procedure, just prior to the Turkish Super Lig restart on 12 June.
The coronavirus continues to influence football around the world, with many teams reporting at least one positive case.
