Kai Havertz is capable of filling the boots of Eden Hazard at Chelsea or starring at Liverpool, according to Dimitar Berbatov. But the Bayer Leverkusen starlet has been warned that it is “too early” for him to make a Premier League move.
Ex-Manchester United striker Berbatov said to Betfair: “I’d like to see Havertz at any point in the Premier League but not right now. I think it’s a bit too early for him, I want to see him play more games, score more goals, develop more confidence and experience.”
“This week, Kai Havertz has been linked to a move to the Premier League and that doesn’t surprise me. Havertz has to get accustomed to the sounds that are being made towards him after Monday night’s two goals as teams are going for him.
“He’s had the competition so they won’t go anywhere, if he stays the way he’s moving teams will always be there. At the moment all eyes are on the Bundesliga and it’s no joke that clubs such as Liverpool like you as you score goals and play good football.”
He has no doubts about Havertz’s talents:
“He’s had decent efficiency and, in the future, he’ll be getting much stronger. Not only was I really happy to see him, but the Leverkusen squad came back extremely good in their victory over Werder Bremen.”
