The sports department of the British radio and television BBC declared the captain of the leading Liverpool Jordan Henderson the best player of the English championship in the 2019/20 season,
This season was interrupted nine rounds before the end due to the coronavirus pandemic. Liverpool had a 25-point advantage over second-placed Manchester City at the time. So, even titles like best player had to be awarded (technically) mid-season via voting.
Henderson won 23 percent of the votes of fans who took part in the BBC poll, and second place went to his teammate Sadio Mane with 17 percent of the vote, Kevin de Bruyne of Manchester City is third with 14 percent of the vote.
The German coach at the helm of Liverpool, Jürgen Klopp, was named the best coach, while Trent Alexander-Arnold was named the best young player.
