He also says that the board is working hard to bring in coach Hansi Flick.
As the director states, when the trade market re-opens, Bayern Munich indeed plans on chasing a top European player and a global champion. The Bavarian giants have progressively won the last seven Bundesliga titles but their last Champions League success came in 2013. They are thus looking for big talent to redeem them.
Manchester City winger Leroy Sané is still believed to be on the wish list for Bayern. As for RB Leipzig’s Timo Werner, there have already been on talks about a transfer.
According to Salihamidžić, a team that will be ready to compete next season for the Champions League: “The Champions League I and all of us here aspire to compete – without being economically irrational.”
