Barcelona is seeking new defensive options for the upcoming season. And the club has reportedly set its sights on Juventus star Matthijs de Ligt and Milan Skriniar, the Inter Milan center-back.
Barca would be willing to swap both Samuel Umtiti and Nelson Semedo into deals, with the coronavirus pandemic affecting the Spanish champions financially, according to Mundo Deportivo.
Barcelona have been long-term admirers of De Ligt, with the La Liga outfit showing interest in the 20-year-old before moving to the Old Lady. Skriniar is also a promising option for Quique Setien with the Barca manager desperate to strengthen his squad’s defence.
Both defenders from the Premier League side Manchester United also attracted interest.
The Catalan giants also have an eye on fellow Juventus players Daniele Rugani and Mattia de Sciglio, identifying various Series A targets for the next campaign.
