Augsburg revealed that coach Heiko Herrlich will not be present when they face Saturday’s Wolfsburg, after he was found breaking the restrictions on coronavirus.
It’s been confirmed that Herrlich left the team hotel on Thursday to buy things like toothpaste and skin cream.
Herrlich himself admitted to leaving the hotel, which is not allowed owing to the regulations in effect ahead of the resumption of the Bundesliga behind closed doors.
Subsequently, he will now have to stay away from his team and coaching staff before two negative Covid-19 test results are registered, as per instructions for all top flight teams in Germany.
