Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has been linked to Real Madrid, Barcelona and Manchester United while he reaches the final year of his Gunners deal.
However, according to the Daily Telegraph, Arsenal is eager to keep him while they try to get back into the Champions League following a three-year absence. And club officials are hopeful that the strong ties they have with Pierre-Francois Aubameyang can help encourage his son to remain at the team.
Arsenal hope that their strong partnership with Aubameyang’s father would push the footballer to sign a new contract at the Emirates. The player is represented by relatives and the name of Aubameyang’s father was on the papers as his son left Borussia Dortmund’s Arsenal in 2018 for £56million.
Meanwhile, Arsenal will continue its campaign in the Premier League in ninth place as they will travel to the Etihad on June 17 to face Manchester City.
