Former Manchester United striker Andy Cole is optimistic that in the coming seasons his former team will once again be challenging for the Premier league.
“There’s significant change being made, it’s just about taking little steps.” Cole said to Sky Sports. “I’d just like to think it when you’re dreaming of challenging the league over the coming years.
“It took 30 years for Liverpool to get into this role-I don’t want to see Man Utd in that place, take 30 years to potentially capture the Premier League again.
“Man Utd is going to get there-with the best players they have and the right players they bring in- maybe next season or the season after that.”
The Red Devils in their glorious past have won the championship a remarkable 20 times but have not been proclaimed champions since Sir Alex Ferguson retired in 2013.
David Moyes, Louis Van Gaal and Jose Mourinho have attempted their best results to come with a second-place result under Mourinho in 2018 and have struggled to win the crown.
