The coronavirus pandemic has signified a lot of career changes for football professionals, and Alan Pardew is one such, unfortunately.
Pardew quit his job as ADO Den Haag manager by mutual consent on Tuesday after the Dutch Eredivisie club retained its top flight status according to PA News Agency.
The Dutch FA did not impose any relegation or promotion, which means that Den Haag stays on, but Pardew and coaches Chris Powell and Paul Butler do not have their contracts extended- they were due to expire on 30 June, in any case.
Den Haag was seven points away from safety and almost likely to be in the relegation play-offs until the season was over due to coronavirus last week.
